What you can edit in an EPUB
Open an EPUB to edit chapter text, chapter order, navigation, metadata, and cover image in one workspace. You can also start a new book with a title, author, and first chapter.
Opening a file also repairs it. Markup that no reading system would accept is corrected, missing navigation is rebuilt from the book’s own files, and accessibility roles that are invalid are removed while missing ones are derived from the semantics already in the book. A file that failed validation before can pass it after, without you changing anything.
Existing EPUB files vary widely. Review complex styles, scripts, media, footnotes, fixed-layout content, and internal links after editing because visual changes can differ between reading systems.
Local editing and optional Cloud Library
The free editor opens and processes files in your browser and does not require an account. Download your work before closing if you are using only the local workflow.
Cloud Library is optional. When you choose to save a project there, its EPUB data and project details are uploaded to your account so the project can be reopened across devices.
Validate before distribution
E-BOOKA exports EPUB 3, but an editor preview cannot reproduce every reading system. Review navigation, language, title, author, cover, images, links, and reading order in the apps or devices your readers use.
Run the exported file through EPUBCheck before distribution. Fix reported errors and recheck after significant edits.
