Terms of Service

Rules for free local EPUB tools, optional Cloud Library, and paid publishing workflows.

Last updated: August 1, 2026

Acceptance

These Terms of Service govern your use of E-BOOKA and e-booka.online. By accessing or using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

E-BOOKA provides browser-based tools for EPUB conversion, editing, metadata review, and related publishing workflows. Free conversion, editing, and standard EPUB export do not require an account. Optional Cloud Library and paid workflow features require account registration and paid access.

E-BOOKA is a sole-proprietor software service operating from Ukraine. These terms govern access to and use of the E-BOOKA product. Paddle's Buyer Terms separately govern paid transactions made through Paddle.

Permitted use

  • Use E-BOOKA only for files you own, created, licensed, or have permission to process.
  • Do not use the service to violate copyright, privacy, intellectual property, or other rights.
  • Do not process malware, illegal content, or files intended to harm the service or others.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or abuse the website.

Files and ownership

You grant E-BOOKA the technical permission necessary for your browser to process files during your session. This permission means:

  • Your browser temporarily holds the file in memory during processing.
  • No copy is sent to E-BOOKA servers during free conversion or editing.
  • Files in the free workflow do not pass through our infrastructure. Ordinary web request data, such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamp, may reach hosting, CDN, or security services.
  • Exported files are downloaded directly to your device, not stored on our servers.
  • Paid cloud project save, restore, and duplicate project actions upload only the project data you explicitly choose to store.
  • Once you close the tab or navigate away from a free local workflow, files are no longer accessible on our systems because they were never uploaded.

We do not claim ownership of paid cloud project data. You are responsible for content you upload or store, and account/project deletion may be subject to legal, security, billing, abuse-prevention, and backup-retention limits.

Optional paid accounts

  • Account registration is required for paid billing, Cloud Library project storage, saved project downloads, and account controls. Free local conversion, editing, and export do not require registration.
  • Paid access is granted only through backend-owned billing state and may be unavailable if payment, access, or verification checks fail.
  • You must keep login credentials secure and use accurate account information.
  • Cloud project storage is explicit opt-in; standard free export remains local and downloadable without an account.
  • Paid workflow features may include project duplication, fonts, style packs, image compression, device previews, publishing checks, official validation reports, and storage limits by plan.
  • We may suspend or remove account access for abuse, security risk, payment failure, legal obligation, or violation of these terms.

Billing, subscriptions, and cancellation

  • Paid monthly plans renew automatically until cancelled. The selected plan, billing interval, and amount are displayed before payment.
  • Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. E-BOOKA handles product access and technical support.
  • E-BOOKA does not receive or store full card numbers. We receive verified Paddle notifications and store provider references and billing access state needed to activate or revoke paid features.
  • You can cancel using the management link in a Paddle receipt, Paddle buyer support, or the E-BOOKA Account billing link when available.
  • Cancellation stops future renewals according to the provider flow. Access may continue until the end of the paid billing period unless the provider or applicable law requires another result.
  • The first subscription payment includes E-BOOKA's 30-day money-back guarantee. Renewals and other refunds follow the E-BOOKA Refund Policy, Paddle Buyer Terms and Refund Policy, and applicable law.
  • Deleting an E-BOOKA account immediately cancels any active Paddle subscription before account data is deleted. If billing cancellation cannot be confirmed, the account is not deleted.
  • Failed payments, chargebacks, provider errors, or webhook delays may pause, revoke, or delay paid feature access.

Payment and refund support is available at paddle.net. Review our Refund Policy before purchasing.

Cloud Library and stored projects

Cloud Library stores the latest saved project file and metadata for projects you explicitly save, import, reopen, or duplicate. It is not server-side conversion, team collaboration, reviewer sharing, or automatic version history.

  • Each cloud project has one latest saved book file. Local undo and redo remain browser-local.
  • Project duplication creates a separate saved project branch when your plan includes duplication.
  • Storage quotas apply by plan and include saved files and projects in Trash until you delete them forever, empty Trash, or delete the account.
  • Deleting a cloud project first moves it to Trash when that workflow is available. Deleting forever or emptying Trash permanently removes project storage and cannot be undone.
  • Account export downloads the latest saved book file for each Cloud Library project. It does not export billing, payment, account, or operational metadata.
  • Account deletion removes your account, Cloud Library projects, stored files, product access, and account notifications after any active subscription is handled separately through Paddle. Sanitized payment event records may be retained for legal, tax, security, and abuse-prevention obligations.

Output quality

EPUB output depends on source quality, document structure, fonts, images, and reader app behavior. Conversion may miss headings, metadata, images, tables, or layout details.

Keep original files and review exported EPUBs before publishing, selling, sending to readers, or distributing elsewhere.

Third-party services

E-BOOKA uses third-party infrastructure providers (such as Cloudflare) for security, performance, CDN delivery, and analytics. Free browser-only files are not sent to these providers. Optional paid workflows may also use Paddle for checkout and subscription management, Google for optional OAuth sign-in, S3-compatible storage providers for Cloud Library files and paid assets, and transactional email providers for account messages.

Paddle contracts directly with buyers for paid transactions. Other providers act as processors, independent controllers, or infrastructure providers depending on the service. Their terms and privacy notices apply to their own processing. Provider outages may delay related account, billing, storage, validation, or email features.

Support and complaints

  • Send product, account, privacy, or legal questions to [email protected].
  • For a formal complaint, use "Complaint" in the email subject and describe the requested resolution.
  • We aim to acknowledge complaints within five business days and provide a substantive response within 14 calendar days.
  • Use Paddle buyer support for payment, invoice, cancellation, refund, or unrecognized-charge questions.
  • This process does not limit mandatory consumer rights or access to a competent authority or court.

Contact routes and escalation details are published on our Contact & Support page.

Availability and changes

  • The service may change, pause, or stop. For material changes affecting an active paid plan, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable or legally required.
  • Supported formats, conversion behavior, and editor features may change over time.
  • Paid feature packaging, feature names, quotas, and provider availability may change, but active paid users will keep rights required by applicable law and provider terms.
  • We may update these terms when the product, infrastructure, or legal requirements change.

Disclaimers

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, E-BOOKA is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, lost files, lost profits, publishing delays, data loss, or misuse of files processed through the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Governing law and contact

Product-use disputes with E-BOOKA are governed by the laws of Ukraine, except where mandatory consumer or data-protection law provides greater rights. Paddle Buyer Terms govern transaction-side disputes with Paddle.
