What PDF to EPUB conversion can and cannot preserve
PDF stores fixed pages. EPUB stores reflowable chapters whose text adapts to reader settings and screen size. Conversion therefore rebuilds structure instead of copying page layout.
Text-based PDFs usually provide the strongest starting point. Scans without a text layer, complex columns, forms, equations, and heavily positioned artwork may need another tool or careful manual repair. E-BOOKA does not perform OCR.
Treat every conversion as an editable draft. Check reading order, chapter breaks, images, links, and the table of contents before distribution.
What E-BOOKA detects for review
E-BOOKA examines extracted text positions and font hierarchy to suggest chapters and reconstruct paragraphs. Repeated page-edge text and page-number patterns can be removed from the draft.
Detection is a starting point for review, not perfect cleanup. Open the result in the EPUB Editor, compare it with the source PDF, and correct any text that was joined, split, ordered, or classified incorrectly.
The reviewed chapter list becomes the EPUB navigation document when you export.
